1623 Jonathan Calladine of Aston on Trent
I am the direct descendant (g9 grandson) of Jonathan Calladine.
Jonathan (1024 on my ahnentafel) was born the second of three known children to William Kanderdine (c1575)and ?( - 1679) was born in the small town of Aston on Trent, just a few miles south of the town of Derby, Derbyshire,
His father William Kanderdine (2048 on my ahnentafel) may have been born in Aston on Trent, his garandfather died here in 1617.
Johnathans birth is estimated at 1623 - from his burial record in Jan 1681. Little is known about his wife Ann either, except from her burial record, (Burial: April 2, 1679, All Saints, Aston on Trent, Derbyshire) and the childrens burial and marriage records
There is a black hole in the records due to the heavy fighting that took place along the Trent during the Civil War, when the ferries and bridge south of the village were distroyed. Aston was a Royalist stronghold.
Children of JOHNATHAN CALLADINE and ANN are:
i. JONATHAN CALLADINE, b. Abt. 1645, Aston on Trent; d. 1724, Aston on Trent.
ii. THOMAS CALLADINE, b. 1652, Aston on Trent, Derbyshire; d. 1726, Aston on Trent, Derbyshire. M ELIZABETH COOPER July 2, 1678 in All Saints, Ockbrook, Derbyshire. Then SARAH COOPER January 30, 1689 in Ockbrook, Derbyshire.
iii. WILLIAM CALLADINE, b. Abt. 1657; d. 1726, Aston on Trent.
