[52 weeks] My memorable genealogical moment
I am just beginning my journey into finding the family. My father and his cousin told me that their uncle Thomas Kleczynski was the father of Elisabeth Kleczynski who died in infancy. If they hadn't told me this, I wouldn't have known as there isn't any documentation that I have found about her.
Both my dad and his cousin told me that Thomas had been married twice. So I wasn't surprised when I found the names of the two women. What surprised me was finding that he had had 4 wives. None of them were married to Thomas when his daughter was born. The information that Thomas had 4 wives came as a big surprise to my family when I showed them the marriage certificates, census reports, and obituary of his last wife.
It was a great feeling to tell them something they had no idea about.
