Hello, regarding the reference in Green Meadows by Bill Bayley about Prof Thomas Huxley, this passage about the journey to Woodstock was actually written by his soon-to-be wife Henrietta Heathorn whose father was a brewery manager at Woodstock Mill. Henrietta met Thomas at a ball in Sydney in about 1847 and they married about 10 years later. Aside from the history evidence, I have the excerpt from Henrietta's diary that was published in the Kiama Independent newspaper about 80 years ago and which I later republished, as editor of the newspaper, in 2004. Hope this helps. Kind regards, Michelle Hoctor
