I've had a look, know all her decendants etc. and I can't find her birthplace or parents.
I did find her obit, perhaps you have it;
The Brisbane Courier Friday 19 May 1916
DEATH OF AN OLD COLONIST
Another old colonist--
Mrs. A. Currey passed away at the residence of her daughter, Mrs. W. Connell, Grove Estate, Ashgrove, last Friday, at the advanced age o? 82 years.
The deceased lady and her husband (who predeceased her by 13 years) came to Queensland in the sailing vessel Clty of Brisbane 54 years ago.
Latterly Mrs. Currey had resided with her daughter, but for 40 years has lived at Brookfield, where her husband encased in agricultural pursuits.
She was possessed of a vivacious and genial nature, which won her many friends.
She was with her husband, who was colour sergeant and pay sergeant in a British regiment in India under General Gough and the late Sir Henry Norman,
during the stirrlng times of the mutiny, and could vividly narrate some of the exciting events of that period.
The deceased lady leaves six sons, three daughters, 50 grandchildren, and 16 great- grandchildren to mourn their loss.

Thankyou,once again, janilye! No, I didn't have a copy of that so it is very welcome. I had some doubts over her birth and thought 1834 was a possibilty. Also someone along the line had told me her father's name was James, but I have had no luck finding all this info together. Perhaps her birth had not been registered. She wouldn't be the only one in my tree with that problem. So frustrating. Thanks again. I hope I can help you one day. :) Juanita.

Do you know about the accident which killed her son James Edward in 1888?
