Itellya is researching local history on the Mornington Peninsula and is willing to help family historians with information about the area between Somerville and Blairgowrie. He has extensive information about Henry Gomm of Somerville, Joseph Porta (Victoria's first bellows manufacturer) and Captain Adams of Rosebud.

EMAIL TO HUME COUNCIL.
In the interest of historical accuracy, could this email be forwarded to the Heritage Planning Officer please.
On page 20 of BROADMEADOWS: A FORGOTTEN HISTORY, Andrew Lemon claimed that Alexander Gibb built the Meadow Bank house ( Glenlitta Ave) but such claim is not confirmed by a Red Cross article in 1918. I believe that Alexander,a carpenter, may have built the interior and maybe the roof but it can be assumed that a mason was engaged to construct the bluestone walls. Alexander may have designed the house (as well as the almost similar Gowrie homestead.)
Regards,XXX XXXX, Rosebud. Red Cross fete article (mentioning that the house was built FOR A.C.Gibb's father) enclosed.
