Name: Ruth EYERS.
Born: 16 August 1867, Tongulilla, South Australia.
Father: Isaac EYERS.

Informants registering births often gave the wrong mother's name.

You did not mention Ruth's mother was recorded as TAYLOR and thought this may be of interest to you. I also think MACKCLOUD may be a spelling error.

Thanks for this .I was told that my Grandmother Ruth could not read or write and my Grandfather taught her so all the different spellings could be because others in the family and in the area may not have be able to spell as well

by macca223 on 2014-03-10 06:39:59 name is David Mcleod, and I am aware that many semi-literate people had their names misspelt. As a result some members of my family(Mcleod) that migrated to America finished with the name..MacLoud or Mcloud. The origin of the name comes from the Nordic "Mac" (Son of)....and Leod A Nordic Prince or Ruler.
