While I already had a copy of the article in the "Murcury.",The site you suggested, has proved very informative. Ferdinand Christopher Hauth is my husbands Great grandfather .

Hi
We are related through one of Ferdinand Hauth's daughters. I see that you are also interested in Alfred John Jackson who appeared to have divorced. Did he marry again?
My great-grandfather was an Alfred John Jackson. Seems like we're researching the same family.
Regards

My Husbands grandfather was Alfred John Jackson
.He married Frederika Hauth in Tasmania in 1900. They had 3 children,Ferdinand,George and Elizabeth.
He was previously married to Alice Jane Brooks in Sydney.,and had ? 5 children in this marriage.I cannot find any record of a divorce for this marriage.

Are you related to Frederikas sister, Rachel Elizabeth.?

This is getting interesting.
If you have more information to share that would be great.
Thank You

Ferdinand Hauth's wife was Ann Amelia Poultnay or Poultney not sure of the spelling but she married again not certain when about 10 years lated, to a missionary named Rutherford and I believe they went to New Zealand

John Boyd Rutherford that was his name. He came from Scotland and he died in Tasmania in 1896. He was a lot older than her. then she went to New Zealand.
That is if it's the right Mrs Hauth.

Thanks to tonkin and janilye for replies.

My research now is focused on Frederika Hauth ,daughter of Ferdinand Hauth and Ann Amelia Poultney.
Frederika married Alfred John Jackson in Tasmania,1900 and they went to Christchurch,NZ later that year. I cannot find a divorce for Alfred John jackson previously married to Alice Jane Brooks who married in Sydney 1887

I had a quick look for a divorce in Tasmania and didn't see one.

It might be a good idea to write another journal about Alfred Jackson and Frederika so people will know that's what you are looking for.
Often, members in here and on google only read the headings on the list.
Good luck

Fredrika Jackson (nee Hauth) was my great-grandmother. Her daughter Elizabeth (Bessie) married my grandfather Arthur Leslie Gordon Carlyle. Their only biological child is my father.
