The Rose family moved to Ontario from the US - Lucinda Rose married Cyrus Hunt - they lived in Scotland, Ontario. Their daughter Aurilla married Robert Sullivan, son of John Sullivan and Maryanne (?) - their daughter Phebe married George Wilson in December of 1890 in Crystal City, Manitoba. The couple started their married life in Cando, ND where George managed a livery stable. In 1900 Phebe and 2 children died of typhoid fever. Her younger sister, Emily came to take care of George's children. Two years later they married and had 7 children. In 1921 they moved to Mapleton, Oregon.
The Hunts joined the LDS church in Canada. Except for Lucinda they moved to Naveau, to Kansas and then went across the plains as part of Capt. Foote's wagon train in 1850. Andrew Rose died enroute and Elizabeth (Daniels) Rose continued on to Ogden with the rest of the family. Andrew was buried in an unmarked grave. Elizabeth's grave is A22 in Ben Lomond cemetery in N. Ogden.
Cyrus Hunt was a Quaker - by 1850 they were listing their religion as Baptist.

Have spent days, months, years searching. Have met a lot of great people along the way. Have developed a lot of admiration for the fortitude and resourcefulness of my ancestors. Not rich or famous, just good solid citizens.
