I found a Frederick Arthur Avery death 1962 is this your grandfather?

These are the only two I could find with father Charles the mothers don't correspond but Charles may have married twice.
On your other journal you have Frederick married to Mary Ellen Neary
This is their marriage for reference

which makes me think that the death for Frederick Arthur above could be your grandfather.
I also found siblings for Mary Ellen Neary, seven in all but there is no Veronica mentioned unless she was born after 1910.

If you don't have a copy of Frederick & Mary Ellen's marriage it would help in your search if you could obtain a copy it will give you both their fathers names and sometimes their occupations, it will also give you a rough idea of their ages, although these are not always accurate, but it is a starting point.
There are two references for Michael Neary's marriage, it looks like a transcription problem, the reference Numbers are the same.
