Armitage of Leeds, Yorkshire

Journal by robertarmitage

I am in Australia and making slow progress researching my English family tree.
My parents moved here in 1961 from Leeds so we have accurate information going back about 3 generations. It is getting further back than that that is getting difficult.

Who / What are you looking for?

by robertarmitage on 2012-07-14 08:45:41

The first thing I am looking for is living relatives. Most would be in the UK but my parents have told me about their cousins emigrating to USA, Canada, New Zealand.
I have been in contact with my Father's 3rd cousin here in Australia who we didn't know about, which is fantastic.
The most recent surnames would be Armitage, Taylor, Broadley and Crowther. All originally from the West Riding - Leeds, Hunslet, Huddersfield.

If any of these come to light then the next thing is to compare notes and cross-check what I have found for accuracy.
And lastly, to try and get copies of surviving photo's.
