- transferred to Richard Burns 28 Jul 1848
* Master of the "Sisters" 30 Dec 1840, became part owner of Sisters 1 May 1848
* Became sole owner of "Sisters" Feb 1849. The vessel was lost after 8 May 1852.
* Master of the "Panama" 22 Oct 1852 to 25 April 1853.
* Master and 1/3 owner of the "Munford" 17 May 1854. sold his share 28 Nov 1854

Archibald married Mary Agnes WARING (1856-1936) 17 July 1879 in Katikati
- Mary was born in Auckland, she died in Preston, England aged 80

they had 5 children born in Katikati, Bay of Plenty

- married Archibald NICHOLSON in 1903
- Eva was a victim of the Flu Pandemic
- she is buried in Waihi Public Cemetery

I, ARCHIBALD HUGH CLARK, of Katikati, do herby give notice tht I desire to obtain, and wil at the next licensing meeting to be holden at Katikati, on the 9th day of June, 1882, apply for a Certificate authorising the issue of a Publican's License for a house situate at Katikati, containing 13 rooms exclusive of those required for the use of the family.
