age as recorded at marrige makes a birth year of 1859, headstone reads 1856

I was born in Pahiatua in 1942 and attended primary school with a family of Becketts. I am able to contact the family if any information is needed. I was interested to see the mention of the name Agnes in the original journal. My classmate, Dawn Beckett, had an older sister named Agnes. There must be a connection.

I have contacted Ray Beckett of Dannevirke who is originally from Pahiatua. Ray's father was Herbert Stanley Beckett 1908-2002. I have given him the details of this site and also kiwican's contact email address...he is keen to follow up.

Thanks again - with our generation fast approaching the "old" generation it is great to make contact. I can remember Ray's Auntie "Millie" and her two sons but that was 50 years ago!!!!! I unfortunately have never met any of the other families. Nor do I have any photos.
