Journal by edmondsallan

Hello to " clarke " and all members - This journal should dove- tail into what has already been researched on the Ancestry- you are researching ( not the Decendant side ) of Rachel Kirby( nee ) Carr formerly Married to Carl Friedrich Beitz .To give you a guide of where we are heading The Beitz name , as many names do , changes as we go back to _ " BETZ " inapproximately-1600 / 1700- " BATZ " from around 1600 / 1400's- I found the name went back to at least 1200;s AD-I do have some documentation that I ( put aside to prove next week when i webhop their to Germany ))At this stage the info from 1500 AD backward's is unproven . The info forward to the Marriage of " RACHEL & CARL " is proven.
In my research I found some odd notes - they are as follows- they make sense and could assist in the knowledge of the family tree

( a ) There were two " Beitz " families that came from Germany , Both had Fathers -- Named --" Carl Freiderich Beitz . A third family went to- ( USA ) which I had researched a little of some time ago - The one we are following who settled in " Roma - Queensland Australia "came from " Sternhagen -Uckermack _ Bradenburg - Prussia - Baden _ Germany "
( b ) -- " Beitz- Charles Frederick ( son of Carl & Rachel )
- d- 30-3 -1944-RC -age ( 51 )at his residence . Was a carpenter by trade . Built Homesteadon 'ROSELEA Sheep station , Muckadilla , Near 'roma , Queensland , Aust ' for the Hacker Family --> sons Bernie & Bill were carpenters ( not proven ( 95 % correct )and also did extensions to the same Homestead-
" Charles Fredrick Beitz " Burial -30th March 1944 -Roma Cemetery, Burial No' ( 3352 ) - Grave (012N ) His residence was in 1942 nws just off Queen st . Roma Qld .53 ( Proven

( c ) The other family ( who had ' Father's )with the same name who came to Australia came from the " Gross Frendenwaide, Germany " settled in area of" Logan - Beenleigh " Aussie Area' Of interest to all The "Three Beitz " families that migrated lived in Germany ( all within (20 ) Klms of each other . In general ( not proven !!-I could not find their working address ). they seem to be in the " Tailoring Trade " Of interest he was ( 10 ) Years old when he arrived in Australia ) He took the Oath of Allegiance _ Australian -on the 2nd of Oct 1878-
He was a bullock driver , transporting goods between - Landsdowne &Tambo .Blackall in 1878 . After marrying he puchased a farm " , mgrew wheat ,some dairying , sheep ,Rosevale Farm "--> (Proven )

their if you wish to research them

-HIS - V

in Middle name -b- 23rd Sept 1792-d-12th Oct 1794 Baden
-Mother -Friederine Dilxe- ( No details available )

-G Father - Fideliys Betz - b-1738,Baden ,-d-Feb'1792 - m-25th- Nov

GGGGG Father-Andreas Batz-b-7th Oct 1613 - Rheinhessen -Hessen Germany
This was proven _ I could not Prove his wife details were correct

GGGGGG Father-Hans Batz-b- 1560 -Rheinhessen-Hessen -Baden -Germany
GGGGGG Mother- Elisabeth ( ? )m-1593 " " "

*** Note--> ( 1 ) How the name spelling changed
( 2 ) Some of the entries are a little short on detail but
have been proven
( 3 ) Their may have been a mix up between the two
families at the beginning of another journal
( 4 ) Their is an ancestry trail on this particular family
From around to after 1826 AD from Baden Germany
Queensland and further That ancestry trail from
1200's to the 1560 is very hard to prove / find
correct documentation

I have put into this Journal what I could prove .I dont think I have made any mistakes However it can happen . Their are other details Families and inlaws that could have been used . It is hard to judge how much to use in a journal as then it just about becomes a small book ' Finally I have tried do cast this journal into a position of joining in the Rear of the updates and research from other members ( Ancestors not Descendants If you wish to go further Tribalpages .com has a huge amount of family trees with Beintz / Batz / Bentz relatives
I think also that all who put in an effort to assist
" Blackie " should have their work and names centralized for Quick reference -In this research for " Blackie " they would be
Janilye , Mowsehowse , Aussie1947, Ngairedith- and I think their was one more , of course me - edmondsallan . all did excellent work some more than others as any member can see in reading their Journals .

I don't think that matters when the Journals become centrally sourced . It was a team membership effort and being part of that team in finding the answers was a pleasure I would like to see more team efforts given a name mention . The concept has a lot of merit
It may be the answer to some very deep queries that in finding the answers can be difficult.Just thought I would mention it

Till we meet again -Kind Regards -edmondsallan

here in usa they use the name Beltz, more likely when then they came here from Germany the name was misspelled, using the i as an l. Hope this helps, my husbands grandfather was Walter Beltz. From Pa. then to Baltimore, Md..
