edmondsallan - Good morning -- When I took " Jasmine " ( thee cat !!! the one whose evil eyes never leave me , I have tried at times to get out unseen & go without her . Score-me - 2 -- her - 85 ) for a walk She seem to be searching , looking for something different . Not Her usual high flying tail up attitude , royal like stance . I thought-- we could do the same this morning . Look at something different . A true story . might be the answer .

Benjamin Kelly is a very distant " cussie ". He was born in 1770 , Ireland . We are related to the Kelly's of Ireland thro a family of Irish Claytons who show up eventually under " Samuel John Edmonds " eldest son of our original ancester - "John Samuel Edmonds ".
In April 1806 the brigantine " Venus " owned by Robert Campbell and the Captain was Samuel Chase . While in Port Jackson ( Sydney ) on the outward Voyage ,to Tasmania with a cargo of ' Grain , Flour , Pork , & spirits , the captain found he was short of crew, and asked the authorites to assist him . Instead they requested he give passage to 3 soldiers under the command of , Richard Thompson . They were escorting , John Lancashire , Richard Evans - both convicts & two ( 2 ) other women , one carrying a small Female child. Reluctantly he agreed . The other woman convict was " Charlotte Badger " who was sentenced to seven years deportation at the age of 18 .The other woman was " Catherine Hagerty " In June 1806 he set sail for " Port Dalrymple - Tasmania " . On board as first mate was
