- they had at least one daughter in England and 2 in NZ

- Catherine married William GILLIBRAND (1873-1934) in 1906

WILLIAM Gillibrad died 28 April 1934in Rotorua Hospital aged 60 in an accident at the Mokai sawmill when he was crushed between two logs

- August served in WWI as Private 3347 with the NZEF, 21st Reinforcements Wellington Infantry Battalion, B Company, embarking from Wellingtogn 19 Jan 1917. His next of kin was his father George de la Roche, 16 Normanby Street, Newtown, Wellington
- August married Ida Rosaline COPPIN in 1921

... One of Wellington's very old identities, Mrs C. A. de La Roche, passed away last Friday. Arriving in New Zealand by the ship 'Lincoln' in 1868, she had resided in Wellington till her death. Four daughters, namely, Mrs C. F. Wigley of Waihi, Mrs A. J. Norris of Wellington, Mrs W. Gillibrand of Auckland, Mrs F. Plimmer of Wellington and two sons, Mr G. de La Roche of London and Mr Gus de La Roche of Wellington survive her
