Itellya is researching local history on the Mornington Peninsula and is willing to help family historians with information about the area between Somerville and Blairgowrie. He has extensive information about Henry Gomm of Somerville, Joseph Porta (Victoria's first bellows manufacturer) and Captain Adams of Rosebud.

Thanks very much itellya for your informative reply. Your journals make interesting reading and give a wonderful insight into areas that are quite familiar to me.

Henry Parker married Mary Rogers in 1852 Victoria. Mary's mother was Margaret Kerr born Wexford, Ireland, she married James George Ro(d)gers in Wexford 1832. When James died young, Margaret remarried John Beale from Dublin in 1844 and the couple set up home in the Shire of Keilor. As you well know, the Beale property was named 'Shelton.'

The Beale, Crighton and Parker properties must have been close by. Henry and Mary Parker's daughter Rachel Rebecca Parker, married John Crighton in 'Keilor.' The couple eventually moved to Numurkah to farm. I agree the most likely area for the Parker farm is point 2. Somewhere I have seen a reference to the North Pole Inn on someone's research, I will have to follow it up but that ties in with the location of the Beale property.

Many thanks again for your help, knowledge and time itellya.
