When did they emigrate to New Zealand ?

they had Walter Henry DENBY in 1873 in the Wairarapa, possibly Masterton
- he married Eterina Mary POWER in Masterton.
She was born 21 October 1886 - died 29 October 1961 and buried in Aohanga
- they had 6 (known) children before he was killed in action on the 15th September 1916 in Somme, France at the age of 43

The children were:
Walter James Denby b. 1904
- he married Nina Mary Blake in Greytown 1928

Albert Charles Denby b.1906
- he married Edith Lillian Wellington about 1929
- her ashes are buried in Masterton Cemetey

Eterina Lillian Denby b.1907 - d.
- she married Cecil Roy Pycroft in 1926

John William Denby b.1910
- he married Jessie Hatton about 1933

Hilary Thomas "TOM" Denby b.1911 in Masterton - d.1979 in Rotorua
- he married Vena Joyce Peck in December 1939
- she was born 1911 in Taita and died 2002 in Rotorua
- she was a daughter of Samuel Peck and Edith White

Bride Trenthamine "INA" Denby b. Sept 1915 - d. Nov 1915
- she is buried in Masterton

Walter's widow Eterina remarried in 1921 to Sydney Reginald HARRIS
- he was born 1892 in Masterton and died 1961 in Masterton
- he was one of 15 children to Walter Harris and Sarah Jane Wyeth - Walter was one of 13 children to Abraham Harris and Sophia Harris, early pioneers of Taita
- Sydney had been married to Fanny Sutherland. She died in 1918, aged 31, in Masterton

Eterina and Sydney had 3 (known) children:

Dvid Trevor Harris 1926 - 1952
Alisha June Harris 1928 - married David Watchman Potangaroa
- he was born 1927 - died 1992 and is buried at Masterton
