Descent from Amos Hale and Elizabeth of Campton, NH

Journal by woodworthdw

Amos Hale and Elizabeth (Plumer) Hale moved to Campton, NH from Newbury, MA in 1812 with children. Son Thomas J. Hale (1805-1880), Civil War drummer, was father of children in Campton, Meredith, and Laconia. As historian of the Laconia Hale family, I can share information, and would like to reach other descendants of Thomas to assure his service is described and honored.

For Amos and Elizabeth, some misinformation persists. Both lived long lives in Campton (not Compton), and received pensions there. Documents on request.

Note: Descent from Edward Dolan Hale in the eighth generation, the father of a large family in Laconia, has the line through Thomas J. (7), Amos (6), Daniel (5-4), Thomas (3-2-1).
