Hello, I am the great great granddaughter of James Donaldson. The information I have is his fathers name is Andrew and mother is isabella scott. Andrews father is Thomas of the county of Down and the town is Newry Ireland. They arrived in nsw 1841 on the ship Elizabeth.
I would like to know why James and Mary lost so many babies. The information I have is that Many was a midwife. Can his info be verified. Also anyone got any photos of James. I have some wonderful ones of Mary, so surely there has to be some of James.

Hello There Shirley,
I am trying to help someone in New Zealand to gain info. about her Donaldson ancesters, We believe James Donaldson married Annie Brackenridge in the early 1860's around Clogher, Co. Tyrone. They had a daughter Annie born in the early 1860's who went to New Zealand and married in 1886 to a Frederick Butt who was from Camberidgeshire, in England. Is there any connection between the two James Donaldsons? say maybe cousins?
