Aletha: Good to hear from you. My only personal problem is finding my parents including my sister and I in the 1940 Census. I have looked until frustration sat in. I know we llived in Birmingham Port (or Birmingport). I did find my Uncle, my father's older brother with his name misspelled.
My father was Fred Emerson Dycus
He is shown in the 1930 Census living at the Port.
I have tried a number of spelliing "Dycus"; but nothing. like "Di cus" dykus, Dikus Dacus. other ways as well.

mom is Nellie Marie Dycus
Sis Jane Marie

Thsnk you

Dear Jerry: I have not been researching the Dycus tree very long. I know the main line of great grand parents back to the year 1485 in Sommerset, England. The first g/grand to die in the states was my 7th g/grandfather William Dycus. He was from Maryland. Then they moved to North Carolina and Tennessee. If I find any thing that may help you I will for sure let you know. Have a Blessed Day, Aletha. E-Mail [email protected]
