Hi...For the past 4 years, I have worked on my Family Roots with some success but have hit a brick wall with my Earnest roots...
My Earnest are from the Lawrence, Richland, Olney, Peoria areas of SE Illinois...My GG Grandfather was William Earnest with Earnest being spelled many different ways in these particular areas...My problem is I don't have a middle initial for him and there are a few William Earnest born about the same year he was supposed to be...
William married a Waggoner, which is my GG Grandmother...Their marriage certificate says that this is his second marriage and has no middle name for him...
