Most of the Edmunds worked as Agricultural Labourers at Corfe Castle.
Frederick 1897 was a Coppersmith. Fred spent sometime in prison as after Ila had left him and the children, she took the children back - by all accounts Ila wasn't a very good mother or person, Phyllis and Joyce were left to live with their Aunty and Uncle in Stonehouse. Fred tried fighting this and consequently was sent to prison.

Phyllis was a beautiful woman who had a voice of an angel, she was a secreetary, her first husband was a bit of a drinker and would not divorce Phyllis, so Phylils and Dennis had Denise out of wedlock, marrying as soon as her divorce was final in 1951, in 1952 Phyllis sadly died of cancer, leaving my mum a 3 year old with no mother. Dennis remarried soon after Phyllis died obviously upsetting the family. But Phyllis, Eva and Dennis had worked together at Standish Hospital.
