My grandmother and siblings were born on the West Coast of New Zealand. I am unable to find any past history apart from the names of her and her siblings.
I believe Reefton/Kumara was the main area they were amongst.

I do know my Grandmother worked as a waitress in a hotel where she met my Grandfather Norman Signal.

I have Ellen Thorn (1900-1983) marrying Norman Lancelot Signal (1898-1977) in Ngaruawahia, Waikato in 1922. Ngaruawahia is a long way from the West Coast however, so will wait for you to verify beofre continuing ny search

Yes that is my Grandmother and Grandfather. I have history of my Grandfather, but none of my Grandmother. Thanks. :)

Thomas Thorn is my dad, so Peggy, Lou etc were my Auntys and Uncles!!! Wow. Thomas and Mary (my Great grandparents - dads mum and dad) lived in a mining town called Waiuta...I am just starting now to look through my history, would love to make contact as I have very few relatives that I know of.
