I'd appreciate help with my mother's 1st cousin, Evelyn Beatrice Mary BROWN, b 6 Apr 1902 in Melbourne, Australia before her parents -Wm Jackson BROWN and Grace Mary FORSY- returned to Birkenhead, England. Evelyn emigrated to the USA on the Coronia, arriving at Ellis Island on 19 July 1920.

In 1922 Ev married Pompilio SOLER, a Puerto Rican tailor b 21 Sep 1901, son of Joseph SOLER and Maria RODRIGUEZ. They had 3 chn before divorcing in the 1940s. Some time before 1967 Pompilio remarried Evangelista Agendz ?? and had a daughter Nora. He died about July 1970 in Newark, Essex Co.

Their 3 children are:
1. Virginia Grace; Grace b 28 Oct 1922: married Frank [Erwin?] CUMMINGS in NY City in 1944; retired to Georgetown, TX, and d 3 Sep 2013; had 2 chn, John and Deborah

2. John Pompilio b 9 Nov 1923: married Bertha ?? and had 1 son, John Pompilio Jnr in NJ in 1960; possibly d 10 Jun 2002

3. David Rodriguez b 13 May 1926: married Mary D KLETCHER, b 18 Apr 1930 at Wallington, NJ to Stanley KLETCHER and Mary BARTMAN. She d 28 Oct 2004 at Monroe Twp, MDX Co
He completed 2 tours of duty with the Navy in WWII and the Korean War, then became a NJ State Trooper followed by working in administration at Princeton until his retirement.
David d 19 Dec 2006 in VT and was survived by 3 chn: David SOLER, Beacon Falls, Conn; Mike SOLER, Monroe Twp, NJ, and Adrienne SOLER, South Royalton, VT


By Nov 1948 Ev had remarried Charles SEMETHY, b 15 Nov 1906 in NJ; he d in July 1965 in NJ; they had no children. Ev died in May 1972 in Orange, Essex Co.
