Thomas Bishell (1841-1904) married Eliza Sophia Coulam (1846-1920)
- they were from Lincolnshire, England
- they emigrated into New Plymouth on the HALCIONE which arrived from Gravesend on 2nd September 1875
(The passenger list has them as Bushell

- they were settlers of Inglewood, Taranaki (originally called Moatown)

- Thomas was a farmer and in 1893 a cow belonging to them gave birth to triplet heifers, causing quite a stir around NZ, many thinking that they would not procreate but 2 years later the 3 of them did

- Thomas died 29-2-1904 and is buried in the Memorial Area, Row M, Plot 21S, at Inglewood Cemetery
- Eliza died 16 years later and is buried Memorial Area, Row M, Plot 21N, at Inglewood Cemetery

- married Katherine Elizabeth Goble in 1887

1867 - 1942 George Edward Bishell
- born in England
- aged 8 on emigration
- married Ann Currie in 1919

1869 - 1982 Arthur Coulam Bishell
- born in England
- aged 6 at emigration
- married Hilda May Sowman 1911

1871 - Mary Caroline Bishell
- born in England
- aged 4 on emigration
- married George Richard Saunders 1888

1872 - Susan Bishell
- born in Holford Lincolnshire
- Susan had an illegitimate daughter in 1890 (allegedly with William John Lile (1871-1955) although no father was recorded on the birth details). Susan named her Constance Mabel Bishell and she was brought up by Thomas & Eliza

1874 - 1944 William
- born in Caistor Lincolnshire
- aged 1 on emigration
- William was a marine enginner
- he moved to Australia about 1914
- he married Walburga Henkel of Germany
- they had two children

1876 - 1958 Olive Bishell
- married Gurson/Gursham John Lory Candish in 1896
- they had 5 (known) children:

.. 1900 - Alfred John Webb Candish
.. 1903 - Harris William Candish
.. 1909 - Oubrey Albert Candish
- Gursham died aged 37 in 1912 and is buried in Waitara Memorial Area, Block 2, Plot 140
- Olive married Arthur Day in 1926

1878 - 1953 May Bishell
- didn't marry

1880 - Ann Bishell

1881 - 1921 Ivy Eleanor Bishell
- Ivy had a baby boy in Woodville in 1903, she named him Cecil - his father was not recorded. Cecil died in December 1903 aged 1 month and is buried in the Old Gorge Cemetery, Woodville
- Ivy later married Ernest Davan (1883-1940) in 1912

1883 - 1928 Kate Louisa Bishell
- married Ernest Mills in 1916
- Kate died aged 41

1886 - 1974 Alfred Lewis Bishell
- in 1907 he was working on H. Jenkin's farm on the Lower Stuart road, Taranaki
- married Mona Moretta Lowe 1908
- he died on 26-4-1974 at Rangimarie Home
- he is buried at Independent Block Row, 5 Lot 1, Plot 1, at Te Henui Cemetery. Mona died in 1958 and is buried beside him

1893 - 1983 Robert Cecil Bishell
- married Ivy Gertrude Ward 1920
- Robert was a labourer
- his ashes are in the Garden Of Remembrance, Inglewood
- his wife Ivy died 4 years earlier(living in 118 Rata St Inglewood) and her ashes are also in the Garden Of Remembrance

NOTE Also on the passenger list of the Halcione was 30 year old Robert Bishell with his wife Elizabeth and baby daughter Louisa. Robert was a brother of Thomas and was born in Whitepit Lincolnshire
