William S Hansen was born in Tromso,Norway on may 20,1848. he was a sailer and a sail maker. shipwrecked on P.E.I. Canada in the 1870s. worked at a shipyard in Porthill, P.E.I. settled in Tyne Valley, P.E.I. may have had family back in Tromso, Norway. know of, most of the family since him. family befor him a total blank. his wife was Elisabeth Hooper. we do not know anything about her family, the Hoopers. her father, mother and family may have moved to the Boston, Mass, U.S.A. area around 1900.

jterrac on 2016-03-27 09:06:41There is a Hansen page for this family on Facebook. This is my great great grandfather. His daughter, Louise Hansen, was my Paternal Grandfather's Mother. You may have already discovered this by now, but there is quite of lot of family history posted on two Facebook pages, one for Hansen and one for Cotton.
