The SKIOLD arrived in Nelson, New Zealand on 1st September 1844 having left Hamburg, Germany on the 21st April 1844
On board was Heinrich Ernst Joachim FANSELOW with his wife Catharina Maria and their children

- a grandson, Colin Fanselow (1918-1967) was possibly born in Taihape as was Gerald Fanselow (1915-1930)
