George W. Courtney and wife Mary Webber

Query by jowenj

He was a prisoner of war at Andersonville,Georgia at the end of the Civil War--he was alive at that time in 1865. He and his wife disappear between 1865 and 1870 as their two children are living with his father Duncan Courtney in Gallatin county, Kentucky in the 1870 census. They continue to live with other relatives after that so they must have died and probably together. I only have access through several internet sources and have exhausted those in trying to find out their fate. Can anyone in Kentucky who has access to newspaper files from that time in the Warsaw area or death files help me to uncover this mystery? [email protected]
