Heron's of Ireland and Scotland

Journal by livelydonna

I am confident that I have found the family line, and that Robert Heron was the father of James Heron b. in Ireland around 1700. I have seen the microfilm of this christening. But now I need to set in stone
who Robert's father was. If John Heron b. 1611 in Scotland is the John that left Scotland after the
Bothwell Bridge Battle, and went to Ireland, and had @ least 3 sons, John, Robert and Patrick. I am
sure that we are not descendant's of Patrick, so it is John or Robert, but still looking for more clarification.

I am sure that these people who were participants in the Scottish Covenant movement are the people who defined my family's belief system in God and his son Jesus. As with all the spiritual uprising's of this
time period, the Moravian, Anabaptist, Lutheran, Wesleyan and the Prebyterians. All these people had
a part in the Puritan and other movements. Historical base for all most everyone's search for family.

In the 1600's people very much had a reason for doing the doing the things that they did. Why else would
the get on ships the size of glorified sailboats and head in a direction they new not where they may end
up.
