There is a Thomas Caldwell B 1841 showing in the UK 1861 Census living at King Street, Dalziel, Lanarkshire. He states he was born in Ireland he is lodging with a family called Donnelly he is an Iron Puddler. There is also a a John Caldwell lodging there, born 1826 in Ireland who is also an Iron Puddler
