HOLE family from Glastonbury, Somerset, England.

My ancestor, Thomas HOLE,arrived in Victoria, Australia in 1860. He was employed as a groom by Thomas Austin of Barwon Park, Winchelsea, Vic. I believe he was born 15.11.1836 Glastonbury, Som. Eng., to Charles HOLE and Letitia BUTLER. I am looking for his siblings and/or parents' details. Letitia is mentioned in the 1881 UK Census. I would be eternally grateful to anyone who could point me in the right direction in regards to further research. Thankyou.

Hi there, from the 1841 census the Hole family were registered in Wells Union. Charles was born in 1806 and Letitia was born in 1811. Thomas had 3 sisters Pricilla born 1834, Phillis 1838 and Jane 1840. Also had 3 brothers Charles 1849, Sydney 1847 and Joseph 1855.

You sound like my saviour! Thanks for replying to my request for information. Since my original post I have found info on Thomas' siblings so now I am only having trouble with finding info re: his parents and their ancestors. I would appreciate receiving any details you could send my way. You know, the usual: Dates and places of birth, marriage, death. Names and details of parents or their siblings. Which line are you descended through? Thomas is my maternal gt gt grandfather.

Gt Gt Thomas Hole, Married Mary Gladman.
His Son was Frederick James Hole, Who Married Bridget Mary Byrne.
Patrick Thomas Hole was his son.
I am his son...
