Have you looked at other family records related.....fr example, have you looked at an obit of someone closely related to your ancester? Have you checked for border crossings? Social security indexes?
Have you tried a posting yet? There are alot of people "connected" to this site who would love to help you if they can. You see evidences of this everyday with replies, comments and answers that are received.
