First of all if you have a name and parents you could post this. You may find information through other sources.

1. Try census records. Familysearch.com has census records

2. Other sources, marriage, death records, Military records, also look for these on familysearch.org

3. Check to see if they had siblings and this might give you a clue
4. Look for late registrations if the place has them

thankyou poorone,, have had no success thus far!! have been looking for William Thomas Taylor born c 1842 resided in South Australia, have his marriage death etc, just not how he came to be in South Australia and his parents, his father suppossedly was Thomas Taylor, William married Esther Pepper and their children were Thomas John, Harriet Elizabeth Alfred William and Ellen Heath Taylor, have found info on all children EXCEPT Harriet Elizabeth Taylor.....
