Hi Tonkin, I read your posts with interest and genuine surprise at dates and details. Arthur's parents are listed as Partick and Jane on birth certificate. He is not mentioned in many family reports because he married a catholic and was estranged from his parents till his death. It is reported in TROVE (Recorder newspaper Solomontown Pt Pirie) that his brother Charles Richard Hurst married Lillian Elvina Branford in Solomontown. His parents are named as Mr and Mrs Patrick Hurst and one bridesmaid was Mary Hurst (Isobel Mary) and guest young Patty Hurst(Patricia) before her death at 19. Charles remained close to Arthur and his family before and after his death and told me stories of their life together as youngsters. I am sure your details are as recorded but I can only think that both men were born out of wedlock or births not recorded. I look forward to any further information you can find as I am finding your searches very intriguing. Thank you for your time and efforts.
