My GGGrandfather was Patrick Troy from Tipperary, who married in South Australia in 1850 and finally settled in Victoria.

Do you think there is any connection ?

I'm looking for Troy info also. Grandfather was William Joseph Troy born, 1888 in Kilkenny. Married a Mary Barron, 1899(William & Sarah Barron)from Sheepstown, Klikenny. Came to USA, had 3 children, William Jr, Edward, & Mary Margaret. Mary's sister's name was Statia, 1900(Ire) who later became William Troy's 2nd wife after Mary's death around 1927-28 in NYC. William Jr. married an Eleanor McCormick and five boys in NY. Mary Margaret became a Sister of Mercy, also in NYC. Sound familiar?
