My name is Sharon Tarrant I am from Newfoundland. I have been searching for my family roots for some time now i have traced my ancestry back to Cork and Mayo. The last part of my history I can get is a Richard Tarrant born in 1805 in Black River Ireland. i know I am of Irish descent. but need to know more about my past. Anyone who may have any information about the Tarrants in Ireland. it would be greatly appreciated if they could share it with me. My greatest dream for as long as I remember is to find out who I am and where I came from. I listened to stories my grandfather Tarrant told us kids and he always spoke of his Father (James Tarrant) telling them as children about Ireland, which he in turn learned from his Father (Richard Tarrant) my grandfather was (Padriac Tarrant).I hope to visit Ireland in the near future so i can stand somewhere where my ancestors stood.
