Thank you Smith41. Wonderful information. I did have the second parts regarding the headstones and Jame's probate. But the name change was news to me. Although I can understand it. I think sometimes he was called "Fred" I am also trying to discover James's and Mary's parents. Also important is to find where in Wicklow they came from.
Now another challenge for me is to find out who and what relationship Louis Monfort had to Fred! I'm also waiting on a reply from Chorley re Fred. I think I have discovered Mary in Griffith's Valuation Record Information. Shows a Mary Owens withthe landlord of Towncoms of Wicklow Wicklow, Barony: Arklow, Union: Rathdrlm, Parish: Kilpoole, Townland: Corperation lands, Place Name: Kilmanton Hill. Position on Page: 28, Printing date: 1854, Act: 15816, Street Number: 25, map Reference: 4322. This ties in with Mary's life. James died in 1847 and Mary in 1891. Thank you again fro your help.
