I'm seeking information about parents of William Wincey (b cica 1786 Isle of Wight)& wife Frances Eleanor Faulkner (b 1.5.1800 Tortola, British Virgin Islands). They emigrated with two children from Cornwall to South Australia in December 1839.
Family records reveal Frances Eleanor Faulkner's father grew cotton and her grandfather grew sugar. Official records show she was a registered Virgin Islnds slave owner in 1822 (Ladty). Married William Wincey (circa 1826 BVI?)and moved to England. British BMD records show she had daughter Frances Maria (1835 Cornwall) & son William Faulkner (1837 Cornwall) before emigrating to South Australia in December 1839 with husband and two children. BMD records also show baptism of Frances Faulkner Wincey (23.9.1829)(father William mother Frances)at Islington, London but no further trace.
William Wincey died Adelaide 1854 (age 68)& Frances Eleanor Wincey at Gawler, SA in January 1887. Any information is greatly appreciated.
