Could you tell about what year your grangdather Laurie was born which will help in my research in trying to trace him and his ancestors. I think his real name was probably Lawrence and do you know if HIS father was John Henry

I'm not sure what year my Grandfather was born, I know he was married to a lady by the name of Ivy Maude (not sure of her Maiden name) who died in 1972 in New Zealand. I only ever knew my Grandfather as Laurie...but you could well be right on that one.
They had three children, My Aunty Ngaire, My Father (Gordon Graham) and my Aunty Beryl.
My Dad's Birthdate was 18th July 1939 and he sadly passed away 8th of May 2001 in Masterton, NZ. He is buried in Masterton Cemetery.
Where is the best place for me to start trying to find all this information from, any help is much appreciated. Thank you.

Just to continue with that...
I just looked at my Dad's Death papers and it shows Gordon Robert Graham's (my Dad) Father as: Laurence Herbert Graham and my Dad's Mother to be: Ivy Maude Graham (nee Dronsield).

Hey Erica so I am literally 13 years late to the party but according to what you said, we have the same great-great-grandfather on the Graham side, and I have gone deeeeeeep into that branch of the Graham family tree. If you are still searching, let me know.
