Hello again shebalee,
I've just looked at Archives NZ. Harris enlised in 1916 - No. 21479. He is listed as Harries Wade Brown. He was discharged in 1919. He died in Kaikohe on 21 April 1921 and was buried at the Kaikohe Cemetery.(this is in Northland, NZ)
On his records his wife is listed as Mrs J E Brown - 7 Upton Road, Torquay -16.5.19.
And his mother as Mrs W R Brown of Kaikohe.
He married Jessie Elsie Stapples on 28.12.1918 at St Mary, Stafford. (note the spelling of her surname)

Re Harris/ Harries, I have sighted the embarkment book for when he left for overseas during WW1 and Harris was crossed out and Harries submitted in red ink.
