She was born 1825 Knockeravella, Templebredon, Ireland, the daughter of William Ryan and Catherine Donohue. They had 7 children James 1855; Annie 1858 (Married William James Leer); Mary Theresa 1860 ( married William Kramer); John 1861 (married Ethel Emily McMullan); William 1863( died in South Africa); Clara 1865( married Tom Hall); and Joseph 1867(died 30/5/1886)in NSW.
