I HAVE BEEN TRYING TO FIND THE PARENTS OF MY GGGGRANDMOTHER Dicy/Dicey MARTIN -- born 1806 in Tennessee. I have the rest of her information from then down thru the generations, however her parent's names illude me completely. I have searched for years. The closest I have come to finding what I need is the following:
Dicy Martin Jennings Family Tree
Birth: dd mm 1806 - Tennessee, USA
Death: date - Daviess, Indiana, USA
Spouse: name surname
This was from the Ancestry site, and I do not belong to that. All the info here appears correctly -- Dicy Martin born 1806, Tennessee, died in 1864 in Daviess County, Indiana. Some records show her born in 1809, but according to the 1850 Census of Indiana she was born in 1806 so that is correct. She was with Dempsey Casey and lived in Athens, Tennessee before moving to Indiana about 1849. I have all the children's names and dates and more -- documented information. The Casey family came from North Carolina and there were many Jennings people in the same area. Thomas Crafts Casey lived in Davidson Co., TN - brother of Dempsey Casey.
Another person had input the wrong info into the Mormon records about who was the parents of Dicy Martin. It has been proved incorrect. I can explain if anyone is interested.
Hi, in response to the question on Joseph Henry Jennings, I am researching his daughter, Jessie Hannah. I have quite a lot of info on the family.
I have been researching Joseph Henry Jennings and have some information on his life but am trying to track down information on his mother, Hannah Jennings and his unknown father.
