John and Florence McINNES, married in England in 1942

Journal by Andrew37

Florence Edith Adams was born in 1920 in the Thakeham area of Sussex, England. In 1938 she gave birth to a son, Paul, in Hastings, Sussex, who was adopted in 1940.In 1942 Florence married John J McInnes, believed to have been a Canadian serviceman. They had two children during the war, Ronald and Pauline and it is certain that they all emigrated to Canada after the war. I am helping Florence's grand-daughter. Does anyone have any information about Florence and John, and where they lived in Canada?

Hi. That is amazing. It is sure to be them! I usually go to National Archives here in London every Tuesday and Thursday and will look at ancestry's family-trees there. Thank you very much for the information. Paul M Adams is Florence's son and he was adopted by a couple called Smith who lived in the same building.
