John Daniel CADE born in 1852 in Swindon
He married Mary Ann Robinson (1854-1923) in England
They had one daughter in 1874 then emigrated to New Zealand
Another child was born in Upper Hutt in 1875
This dates their voyage to NZ between 1874-1875

John worked in Wellington for a time on the railway construction over the Rimutaka Hill
He later moved to Masterton where he was in sawmilling
Later he moved to Christchurch and worked at the Railway Workshop as a fitter

John died in 1920 aged 67
Mary Ann died in 1939 aged 69, apparently in Masterton
- neither of their burials yet found

- married Ezekial George PRICE (1873-1946) in Masterton 1895 and had 9 children
'Zeke' was a Train Driver. They lived in Solway for a time
they both died in Masterton & buried Archer Street

1875-1921 George Cade
born in Upper Hutt
- George married Myra Gertrude WALKER (1883-1955) in 1910
1st of 8 children of Zealand Tasman Walker & Clara Elizabeth Berry
- George & Myra had 4 known children
- George next married Mary Elizabeth Walker (1885-1961) in 1914
- Myra & Mary may have been related but not sisters
(Myra remarried in 1921 to Robert McFarlane

1878-1946 Ada Emily Cade
- married George Hubert ELLIOTT (1887-1959) in 1920
- George next married Vera Emily Wilson HILL in 1925
- Ada's death date unknown

1880-1963 Mary Ann Cade
- married Percy THORNTON in 1916
- Mary died aged 82

1882-1972 John Benjamin Cade
born in Carterton ?
- married Mary Ellen JOYCE in 1913
- John died aged 89 in Christchurch

1884-1963 Alfred James Cade
- born in Opaki, Masterton
- married Sussanah Mary CRADDOCK in 1910
- Alfred died aged 79

- Ernest died aged 70 in Tuarangi Home, Ashburton

1896-1976 Lillian May Cade
- married Frank Moyse MITCHELL (1893-1979) in 1921
Frank served in WWI as Bombardier Second Lieutenant, 2/112, 38th Reinforcements, New Zealand Field Artillery, NZEF from 1914 (He was fined in the Nelson court 5s for having failed to render personal service in 1912, a breach of the Defence Act). He was a Butcher at 25 Avon street, Christchurch when he enlisted in 1914. His mother Ann, (Mrs Frank Walter Mitchell) was living in Grey Lynn, Auckland in 1915 when he was wounded in the thigh, she was later c/o Island Bay House, Island Bay, Wellington. Frank was awarded the Military Cross in 1918
