John Daniel CADE + Mary Ann ROBINSON - Swindon, Wiltshire to Masterton New Zealand

John Daniel CADE was born in 1852 in Swindone Wiltshire (131km west of London)
He married Mary Ann Robinson in England
They had one daughter in 1874 then in they emigrated to New Zealand and anther child was born in Upper Hutt in 1875 - this dates their voyage to New Zealand to sometime between 1874 and 1875

John worked in Wellington for a time on the railway construction over the Rimutaka Hill
He later moved to Masterton where he was in sawmilling.
Later he moved to Christchurch and worked at the Railway Workshop as a fitter

John died in 1920 - his burial details not yet found
Mary Ann died in 1939, apparently in Masterton but her burial details not found

Their (known) children were:

- married Ezekial George Price in Masterton 1895
- died aged 65 in Masterton

1875-1921 George Cade
- born in Upper Hutt
- married Myra Gertrude Walker in 1910
- (Myra remarried in 1921 to Robert McFarlane)
- married Mary Elizabeth Walker in 1914
- Myra & Mary may have been related but they were not sisters

1878-? Ada Emily Cade
- born unknown
- married George Hubert Elliott in 1920
- Ada's death date unknown

1880-1963 Mary Ann Cade
- born unknown
- mrried Percy Thornton in 1916
- Mary died aged 82

1882-1972 John Benjamin Cade
- born in Carterton ?
- married Mary Ellen Joyce in 1913
- John died aged 89 in Christchurch

1884-1963 Alfred James Cade
- born in Opaki, Masterton
- married Sussanah Mary Craddock in 1910
- Alfred died aged 79

1887-1957 Ernest Bertram Cade
- born in Masterton
- unknown marriage
- Ernest died aged 70

1889-1958 Leonard Arthur Cade
- born in Masterton
- married Mary Thorn in 1916
- Leonard died aged 68

1891-1963 Alice Bertha Cade
- born in Masterton
- married Stanley James Smith in 1920
- Alice died aged 70

1893-? Eunice Isabel Cade
- born in Masterton
- nothing else known about Eunice

1896-1976 Lillian May Cade
- birth place unknown
- married Frank Moyse Mitchell in 1921
- Lillian died aged 79
