Joseph BOEG, son of Johannes (John Leven) BOEG (1801-1830?) and Sarah Elisabeth MARTIN (1794-1876), was born on 21 June 1823 in Borough, Southwark London. He was christened on 20 July 1823 in Grove Independent Camberwell London.

He was a Greengrocer, Master Fish Dealer and Drayman.

He married Eliza KING on 21 June 1847 in Trinity Church St. Mary, Newington, Surrey. Witnesses: Sophia Whatkinson(?), J Brown(?).

Joseph appeared in the census in 1851 in 2 Cranford Place Brixton London. In 1871 at 766 Old Kent Road, Peckham, Camberwell, London. He appeared in the census in 1881 in 369 Portobello Road (a fish shop), Chelsea, London. He and Eliza KING appeared in the census in 1881 again at 369 Portobello Road. He appeared in the census in 1891 in 26 Telford Road, Kensington, London. He was back at 369 Portobello Road again in the 1901 census. He died on 1 April 1903 in 369 Portobello Road. He was buried on 6 April 1903 in Kensal Green Cemetry, London (27403 Area 8 Row 4).
