Johann Hintz born 1831,and Juliane Rehorck born 1833. In America Juliane became Julia Raco. They came here from Province Posen in 1861 on a sailing vessel and were becalmed in the ocean for 30 days, and as the folks had to wait 3 years before applying for their papers. They met a man in New York and decided to go with him. (They came before Ellis Island was established). They took a boat down the Grand River and settled in Eastmanville, Michigan near Coopersville. Children of this couple were Chris, Ferdinand, Amelia, Louise,Delia, Julia, Carrie, Jacob and John. Julia's sister Rose Raco/Rehorck also came to America and married William Klocksien or Klocksein.
