Looking for info on Alice Eliza Brown-Jolly. Married to Rheuben Swan at some point. She was born about 1884, not sure where or in what country. Possibly Tasmania (where Rheuben from) or England. Not sure if Brown is her maiden name and Jolly a stepfathers name or some one else she married. But she died 26 Nov 1940 in Canberra ACT Australia under the name of Alice Eliza Will or Wills.
My grandmother grew up believing this woman was her paternal grandmother. She was raised by Alice when her parents died untill she was 16yo when Alice died.
I have come to a blank with her and rheuban.
From the info l have found recently Rheuban is not my grandmothers father as we thought but her uncle.
Any help or ideas would be great.
