Good evening, How old was your mother when you were born? Do you have any pictures of your father? What color hair does he have? Do you know if your father ever lived in New Orleans?

She was 16yrs. I think they (my parents) visited there once. I had an emerald colored glass (shaped like a jeweled droplet) possibly from a costume. I do have a some pictures of him. Two are elementary sheets and one when he was in his twenties. Back then he had brown hair. Recently my mother went to San Diego for a family reunion (her side). She ran into my father and retrieved his telephone number. I should get that. Maybe he has kept in contact with other family members. I don't think I will ever feel complete never meeting them i f they wanted to get to know me.

This is very odd. Does he have a brother named "Dean" and a sister Margarite or something that, I believed died some time ago (although you've cited a Margie)? The "Donald Brian Gibbons" I knew in New Orleans from 1980 to 1983 was about 5'7", very slight build, liked to work with wood and liked crystals - which may account for the glass item. He worked as a carpenter at Tulane University and had worked at a Harry's Ace Hardware. We were together about 3 years, during which an underage woman showed up in New Orleans, with an infant daughter. She only stayed a few weeks, then went back to CA (I think CA).

I think you should get the number your mother has. And, I remember him to be a very pleasant, caring person. I used to think about him often and have, on occasion, done a google search for his exact name. For whatever reason, I did one last night and found your posting. Wow. I called my mom and retrieved the number again. He would like to say hi. Sure e.mail me and I give you his number. He told me I could give it to you but I don't want to give it through here. It's nice to know I found someone out of this. I'm sorry for any problems we might have brought up back then. But at least you and my dad can have a fresh start, even as friends. His voice lit up when when I spoke of your first name. As told him your comments, he said your first and last names. Apparently he still remembers you, too.
