I am researching a family of Forshaws, who lived in Preston Lancs UK during the mid 1800s onwards. Richard Forshaw my GGrandfather was born in Hesketh Banks anytime from 1836-1841 died in Preston 21st Feb 1910. He was married to Elizabeth Hodgson. She married Richard under her step father's name of Reynolds/Wrennals at St Johns Preston 27 Mar 1858. I know from their marriage cert, Richard's father was also a Richard Forshaw who was a sailor. The story stops there. I cannot find my GGrandfathers family for certain in any census. I have found 2 possibilites in Hesketh Banks in the 1841... but neither have a father Richard present at the time of the census night.
