Nell Kathleen WHALEN married Kenneth Alan SCOFIELD in May of 1926 in Lincoln, Nebraska. Her family was from St. Joseph, Missouri; her father, Michael Whalen was born ca. 1860 in Independence, Missouri; her mother, Grace Eleanor NORMAN, was born in 1870 near Wathena, Kansas. Nell and Kenneth apparently met at the University of Nebraska at Lincoln, married there and raised four children. A granddaughter did family research sometime around 1990, and at that time contacted my mother, and we were given a copy of the research (which I have treasured!) Unfortunately, contact was lost some time later, and my mom doesn't know where to find anyone in that part of the family again. It would be so nice to find someone and share again some family pictures, especially since that is now so much easier and the results so much better than in those days of primitive (!) Xerox technology. I'd love to trade an Aunt Nell (Michael's sister) for a Grandma Julia SHAUGHNESSY WHALEN!!!
